ShipBob Appoints New Executive Hire Lara Morgenthaler as Chief People Officer

Morgenthaler brings twenty years of human resources experience to spearhead rapid growth as ShipBob aims to be the leader in ecommerce logistics

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ShipBob, the leading global omnifulfillment platform, today announced the appointment of Lara Morgenthaler as Chief People Officer. Leveraging over two decades of leadership experience in human resources, Morgenthaler will work with the C-suite to continue a mission of global expansion, while putting people and the ShipBob success story thus far at the forefront.

“As ShipBob continues our rapid growth, Lara will help us enhance the company culture with her background scaling global companies,” said Divey Gulati, President & Co-Founder of ShipBob. “Strategic hiring, training, professional development and our core values are the backbone of our business, and our greatest asset is our people. Our mission is to foster an environment where employees find ShipBob to be an energetic and rewarding place to work.”

Morgenthaler, who is a graduate of the University of Washington, began her career in the dot-com boom at Trilogy Software. She has overseen human resources in a variety of roles for over twenty years with companies such as Newell Rubbermaid, Amazon and most recently Epic Games (the maker of Fortnite). She is passionate about true growth and pushing beyond the status quo with a mission-driven purpose.

"I'm excited to be joining ShipBob as CPO. The mission and vision of the company, helping ecommerce businesses be successful online with a focus on logistics for SMB and mid-market businesses, the culture and the ambition all resonate with me,” added Morgenthaler. “I am looking forward to working with smart, ambitious and humble people, as we build off of what has made ShipBob successful to set us up for global scale and continued success."

Morgenthaler joins ShipBob at a time of unprecedented growth, even amidst the global turbulence in the shipping and logistics industry due to the pandemic, inflation and rising fuel costs. In 2022, ShipBob is a leader with a valuation of more than $1 billion, while celebrating its eighth year in business. ShipBob now supports automated EDI fulfillment for over 60 retailers, including Target, Chewy, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Ulta, Nordstrom, Petco and many others, and is driven by a passion to innovate solutions for all of the brands using ShipBob to deliver delightful shopper experiences to their customers.
