BOISE, Idaho--()--Mosaic, a construction technology platform for the residential development industry, today announced its expansion into Idaho, led by Larry Johnson as Regional Director of Operations. Johnson, a seasoned construction professional from PulteGroup and Idaho-based Sterling Homes, brings robust industry experience and key market knowledge to Mosaic as the company expands its national footprint.

Johnson served as Vice President of Operations at PulteGroup, Inc. for the last 17 years of his 34 years with the Company, where he managed more than 12,500 closings in the Bay Area, Central Valley, and Reno; was directly responsible for product development, procurement, production and warranty/risk with a team of more than 100; and pioneered a national collegiate recruiting program with Associated Schools of Construction. He has a combined 25 years of experience as an advisor on multiple universities’ industry advisory councils and served on PulteGroup’s National Construction Council for seven years. Additionally, Johnson co-founded and served as President of Sterling Homes, a for-sale development and homebuilding operation in Eagle, Idaho.

“Larry’s industry experience and knowledge are simply unmatched and we know Boise will be a successful market long-term because of his leadership,” said Ron Gonski, VP of Growth at Mosaic. “We’re excited to expand into the Gem State and support growth in one of the nation’s most sought-after housing markets.”

As the leading tech-enabled general contractor for production-scale residential development projects, Mosaic plans to deliver tremendous value to the Boise area throughout the entire construction process – from pre-development through construction and into warranty.

Mosaic closed on their Series B funding in late 2021, backed by venture capital firms such as Andreessen Horowitz, Peak State Ventures, Building Ventures, Founders Fund, Greylock Partners, Innovation Endeavors, Thrive Capital, and 8VC. Mosaic recently expanded into Tucson, Denver, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin, and plans to launch projects in Southern California and additional markets later this year.

“I’m very excited to join Mosaic,” said Johnson. “The company’s incredibly talented leadership, team, and vision for bridging the gap between construction and technology will transform the residential construction industry. Mosaic’s commitment to fostering a collaborative environment where individual expertise is celebrated sets new standards for the industry. I’m thrilled to join the team and look forward to making big things happen in Boise.”

About Mosaic

Mosaic builds technology solutions to make residential construction more scalable. The company operates as a digital general contractor to provide construction and related services to homebuilders and residential developers, allowing them to offload their construction processes and related needs to Mosaic’s integrated platform and team. Mosaic’s platform standardizes the construction process, not the homes, allowing them to deliver places people love and create better communities.
