PartnerRe Appoints Sima Ruparelia as Chief Actuarial and Risk Officer

PEMBROKE, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PartnerRe Ltd. announced today that Sima Ruparelia will join PartnerRe, effective June 27, in the role of Chief Actuarial and Risk Officer.

Ms. Ruparelia will be responsible for Risk and Capital, Non-Life Reserving and Pricing and Life Reserving (2nd Line). She will be based in London and will report to PartnerRe’s President and CEO Jacques Bonneau, as a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Ms. Ruparelia held the role of Chief Actuary and Portfolio Manager for UK, Europe, Global Specialty and Talbot, the Europe legal entity for AIG, from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, Sima served as Group Actuary for Catlin and as UK Chief Actuary for XL Catlin, and held actuarial positions at Ernst and Young, Equitas and Pinnacle Insurance.

Ms. Ruparelia is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Loughborough University.
