MORGANTOWN, Pa.--()--Morgan Truck Body featured two advanced-technology truck bodies at the first Zero-Emission Truck Showcase + Ride and Drive, June 8 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, hosted by The California Air Resources Board (CARB) and organized by CALSTART. The event provided an opportunity for industry OEMs and fleet operators to discuss the state of technology, explore EV challenges and solutions, as well as get a first-hand look at the technologies that will pave the way to a zero-emission future.

Morgan Truck Body featured its innovative EV Dry Freight Concept Truck Body for electric chassis that provides significant weight reduction, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced situational awareness. Also highlighted was Morgan’s new EV Refrigerated Concept Truck Body for electric chassis that features state-of-the-art materials and technologies that maximize thermal efficiency and lighten the load without compromising structural integrity.

“The showcase has been an excellent platform for discussion with OEMs and fleet managers,” says Tom Diez, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Morgan Truck Body. “This type of collaboration provides invaluable insights for Morgan Truck Body as we focus on addressing the accelerated demand for lighter and more aerodynamic EV-centric commercial truck bodies. We’re investing heavily in the tools, training, and technologies necessary to remain at the forefront of zero-emission innovation.”

“Working with organizations such as CARB and CALSTART is critical to the success of developing these next generation commercial work trucks,” says Mark Hope, COO and General Manager, EAVX, who was also in attendance at the Showcase. “Our involvement with these organizations is important to further our understanding of the regulatory changes coming, and for us to provide crucial insights to the regulators from the design and manufacturing side. We’re entering a period of massive innovations with technology, body design and chassis integration, and it will take a holistic approach to meet the demands coming to the industry.” EAVX is a fellow business unit of Morgan Truck Body and the central hub of technological innovation for Electric and Alternative Vehicles of parent company JB Poindexter & Co.
