AM Best to Host Briefing on the Expanding Non-Catastrophe ILS Market

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will host an analytical briefing on the expanding non-catastrophe insurance-linked securities (ILS) market on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10 a.m. (EDT).

Prominent reinsurers and specialist underwriters increasingly have been facilitating transactions to help investors achieve their diversification goals and tap new insurance-linked returns. As the non-catastrophe ILS market expands, AM Best has observed heightened interest for these types of transactions; specifically, ones that involve the transfer of casualty and liability insurance risks to capital market investors in a securitized format. The one-hour, complementary event will discuss how AM Best views the risks involved in these transactions from a ratings perspective.

To register for the event, please go to http://www.ambest.com/conferences/ILS22/index.html.

The panelists for the event are as follows:

  • Elliott Kroll, partner, ArentFox Schiff LLP
  • Emmanuel Modu, managing director, AM Best
  • Thomas Mount, senior director, AM Best
  • Wai Tang, senior director, AM Best

Attendees can submit questions during registration or by emailing webinars@ambest.com. The event will be streamed in video and audio formats, and playback will be available to registered viewers shortly after the event.
