The Chocolatier Launches The New Maple Treat Just In Time For Summer

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beloved chocolatier, Purdys, gives one of their famous, best-selling chocolates an extra Canadian flair with their new Maple Sweet Georgia Browns. Key ingredients in this new chocolate include roasted, salted pecans, maple syrup-infused caramel, and creamy Gold chocolate.

Rachel McKinley, Purdys Master Chocolatier, who developed the new chocolate, shares the inspiration behind them, “Our customers love our maple treats and our classic Sweet Georgia Browns so we wanted to pair them together. The caramel plays perfectly with the complex nature and flavour of maple. We brought that out even further by topping the maple caramel with Gold chocolate which is also caramelized. Add the salty, soft crunch of roasted pecans and we have a winner.”

The maple and pecans are a natural pairing that complement each other’s flavours and textures. Purdys uses real Canadian maple syrup to perfect the recipe, enhancing the flavours by also adding pure maple extract to the Gold chocolate that tops the treat.
