Transaction Data Systems Releases $2 Million for Refill Programs to Pharmacy Network

Pharmacy software leader meets urgent need by providing incremental revenue to the TDS community pharmacy network

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transaction Data Systems (TDS), the leader in pharmacy software solutions, today announced the release of $2 million in clinical opportunity revenue for refill programs to its pharmacy network. TDS connects more than 8,000 community pharmacies through its solutions and services—the largest network in the U.S.

As the healthcare market continues to change, community pharmacies are delivering more care across the continuum. From their roles as administers of testing and vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic, to now driving adherence by providing clinical services, community pharmacies are making it easier and more efficient to receive healthcare outside the doctor’s office. TDS is bringing clinical care opportunities directly within the TDS pharmacy’s workflow, which creates a seamless experience for pharmacy care providers.

“TDS is proud to bridge the gaps in patient care by providing essential clinical programs that compensate the pharmacy for the clinical care services they can now provide,” said Jude Dieterman, CEO of Transaction Data Systems. “Our pharmacy network affects the lives of 49 million individuals. The nation’s leading health plans recognize the personal connection that pharmacists have and the critical role they play in improving medication adherence and patient outcomes.”

Through TDS’s software, pharmacies obtain incremental revenue when they complete refills, interventions, medication reviews and medication synchronization to improve adherence. Compensation is similar to copays that PCPs receive. Individual pharmacies average $200 per month in clinical opportunity revenue today and this is projected to grow. TDS collaborates between pharmacists, providers, health plans and pharma to manage medication therapy and improve outcomes through compensated clinical services seamlessly in-workflow.

TDS is committed to connecting the top insurers to the TDS network, allowing for further growth in clinical opportunities within the pharmacies.
