AM Best to Participate in Climate-Related Panel Discussion at Reinsurance Association of America’s Upcoming Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger will participate in a panel discussion on climate preparedness at the Reinsurance Association of America’s (RAA) Re Ed event, which will be held in Orlando, FL, from May 23-26, 2022. Holzberger will participate in a session, titled, “Climate Preparedness: Insurers, Regulators, & Rating Agencies,” which is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. (EDT) on Tuesday, May 24.

The panel discussion will be moderated by RAA President Franklin Nutter and include: Cathal Carr, senior vice president, RenaissanceRe; Jeff Huebner, chief risk officer, CSAA Insurance Group; and Jeff Czajkowski, director, Center for Insurance Policy and Research, National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

The panelists will address climate preparedness from a variety of perspectives, including how companies should deal with regulators or boards on how they think about climate change; how regulators can hold companies accountable for climate change; the different approaches or opinions that regulators and rating agencies have about climate preparedness; and the extent of AM Best or NAIC climate disclosures.
