Molina Healthcare of Iowa Announces Dr. Tim Gutshall as Chief Medical Officer

DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molina Healthcare (“Molina”) today announced the appointment of Tim Gutshall, M.D., as chief medical officer (CMO) of Molina Healthcare of Iowa. Dr. Gutshall has practiced medicine for 26 years in Iowa as a family and emergency medicine physician.

“Dr. Gutshall has a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of the people he serves and has an exemplary reputation,” said Jennifer Vermeer, plan president for Molina Healthcare of Iowa. “I’m confident his medical and collaborative leadership skills will make an immediate impact in improving health outcomes for Iowans.”

In his role, Gutshall will leverage his deep expertise as a board-certified family physician and his experience as chief medical officer of both Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Telligen. Gutshall graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He serves as vice chairman of the Free Clinics of Iowa and has coached youth sports for 25 years.
