Lone Star Analysis Vice President Laurie Cummins Announced as National Defense Industrial Association’s 2022 Awards Chairperson

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lone Star Analysis, a trusted provider of leading-edge predictive and prescriptive analytics, and guided artificial intelligence solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Laurie Cummins, vice president of systems engineering and integrated solutions, to awards chairperson of the Integrated Precision Warfare (IPW) division of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).

“I’m honored to serve as the awards chairperson for the precision strike community,” said Laurie. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it. I get the opportunity to meet many individuals in the precision strike arena. These very important people have made significant contributions to the warfighter, and I’m grateful to be part of recognizing their accomplishments.”

Formerly known as the Precision Strike Association, NDIA’s IPW division presents two awards annually. The Richard H. Johnson Technical Achievement Award, presented in the fall at the Precision Strike Technology Symposium, recognizes outstanding personal technical achievement resulting in significant contribution to precision strike systems. The William J. Perry Award, typically presented in the spring, recognizes public or private sector leadership or achievement resulting in an immediate and long-term impact that an individual or team has had in shaping the U.S. precision strike combat advantage.

Cummins has overseen the process for the Johnson Award for the last two years. Due to her success, NDIA has asked her to oversee the awards process for the Perry Award, making her the official awards chairperson of the IPW division for the 2022 year. In this role, Cummins is responsible for sending out a call for submissions, reviewing nominations alongside the IPW Nominating Committee and a distinguished jury of previous winners, industry, government and military members, and making a final selection.

In addition to Cummins’ participation and leadership with the organization, Lone Star Analysis is an active corporate member. As precision strike is an integral part of the company’s business, Lone Star supports the organization, the IPW division and its purpose of advancing precision engagement.
