iris Offers Free Flights for Perfect Matches to Meet in Person

AI-integrated dating app won’t let distance get in the way of love

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iris, the first artificial intelligence dating app that predicts mutual physical attraction, launched a new flight program to bring long-distance lovers together for free.

Nearly 128 million single adults are craving connection after two challenging years of dating amid the pandemic. During the romantic travel promotion, iris will pay up to $3,000 in airfare for users who live more than 300 miles apart so they can take their relationship to the next level by meeting in person.

“Our platform has allowed relationships to flourish no matter the distance between partners, but nothing can replace the feeling of first laying eyes on a partner in person,” said iris co-founder and legal counsel Elena Khalatian. “There are financial barriers to being in the same place at the same time, and our flight program breaks those down by providing the opportunity for mutual matches to meet for free. Distance shouldn’t get in the way of potentially life-changing experiences.”

iris takes the mystery, misery and time out of the online dating experience by using a science-based approach to finding love. With mutual physical attraction as the primary focus, AI-assistant iris uses AttractionDNA™ to learn what visual features users find physically attractive, weeding out profiles that don’t fit their type, and increasing the chance of a mutual match by at least ten times compared to other dating apps. The highest possible match rating is 20. Occasionally, iris users are a perfect 20-20 match for each other, and the new flight program makes sure perfect matches don’t go to waste.

“Leading with attraction is not superficial, it’s science,” continued Khalatian. “The lack of physical chemistry between partners is too much to overcome, regardless of emotional connection. iris keeps learning from all the choices users make so recommendations are always improving, streamlining the experience by reducing worthless interactions and redefining the way users find love online.”

Since 2020, iris has created a respectful dating community with the launch of its Trust Rating. iris also prioritizes security by using member verification features to eliminate fake profiles and the possibility of catfishing. When creating a profile, members are required to take a selfie with the app before they are let onto the platform. The selfies are then compared to the photos in the profile to make sure the person in the pictures is in fact the user joining iris.

About iris

iris was created by a team of people who were tired of swiping endlessly, tired of being catfished, tired of fake profiles — in other words: tired of wasting time. The gamification of online dating has made it a very time-consuming process: quantity of interactions has eclipsed quality of connections. Instead of swiping through endless profiles hoping to find a match, iris uses artificial intelligence by analyzing thousands of facial features to learn what kind of person a user finds visually attractive. iris uses this AttractionDNA™ to connect people who are likely to be a match. Because machine learning is a never-ending process, the more iris learns about a member’s taste over time, the less they have to “swipe.” iris keeps learning from all the choices users make so recommendations are always improving, streamlining the experience by reducing worthless interactions and redefining the way users find love online.
