Florida International University Awards Validcare Sole Source Agreement

Validcare’s Platform as a Service to Power Decentralized Clinical Studies

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Validcare is proud to announce a sole source award by Florida International University (FIU) for its Platform as a Service (PaaS) to power hybrid and decentralized clinical trials. Through this relationship, FIU overcomes traditional and COVID induced challenges associated with conducting clinical studies.

Validcare’s sole source award is evidence of the company’s unique business model which combines proven, 21CFR Part 11 compliant, cloud-based technology with almost 10 years of expertise in patient centered clinical research and value-based care models. This combination of technology and services positions FIU to be more attractive to sponsors and as a research partner.

The Validcare StudyTM platform accommodates site based, hybrid and decentralized clinical trials and includes via iOS and android apps, a secure, clinical investigator web portal and success services. Under the agreement, the Validcare StudyTM platform will be private labeled as “FIU Study” and made available for researchers across the enterprise. The first planned study launches this fall and allows improved access, diversity, and inclusion of patients across the United States vs. the traditional 70 - 100 miles radius of a researcher’s location.

“We are proud and excited to be selected by FIU and support the university’s commitment to expanding and transforming clinical research,” said Patrick McCarthy, CEO of Validcare. “Together, we can create a re-imagined, inclusive research ecosystem powered by real world data and patient experience to deliver better science and products.”
