University of Phoenix Hosts Educational Equity Webinar on Intentionality

Featured speaker Dr. Dean Aslinia discusses aligning intention and impact

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--University of Phoenix will hold a November 18 webinar in its Educational Equity Webinar Series, titled “Our Intentions Sometimes Don’t Make the Impact We Had Hoped!” Led by featured speaker Dean Aslinia, Ph.D., licensed psychotherapist and associate dean in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at University of Phoenix, the event is intended to provide attendees with guidance on aligning intentions and impact.

The event is part of a public series intended for educators, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practitioners, higher education leaders and administrators, employers, nonprofit organizations, government affiliates, and University of Phoenix faculty, staff, students, and alumni across the globe.

"The personal and organizational process of advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging understanding relies on an individual commitment to be intentional in one's learning and growth," shares Tondra Richardson, MBA/HRM, director of Student Diversity & Inclusion at University of Phoenix, and a host of the series.

The webinar is an educational event with learning goals that by the end, attendees will be able to:

• Differentiate between intent and impact
• Evaluate how empathy differs from sympathy or apathy
• Recognize how to control emotional passion.

The discussion will be hosted by Richardson and Saray Lopez, director, Student Diversity & Inclusion, both with the Office of Educational Equity at University of Phoenix.
