University of Phoenix Research Center Studies Presents at International Convention

Center for Educational and Instructional Technology Research work will be showcased at the event

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Researchers from University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies Center for Educational and Instructional Technology Research (CEITR) will present three research studies at the 2021 Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) International Convention November 2 – 6, 2021.

The research labs at CEITR focus on cutting edge topics in education and put researchers in the center of an effective ecosystem of experts, resources, and tools. Over the course of the pandemic, the transformation of educational technology has brought CEITR focus areas into the foreground of education communications, access and learning discussions.

“Educational systems in K-12 and higher education have been disrupted by the pandemic. As scholar practitioners, we feel the responsibility of conducting applied research with immediate implications to resolve the disruption,” states Mansureh Kebritchi, Ph.D., University Research Chair of the CEIRT. “Our focus is on investigating innovative strategies to improve our educational systems and better serve learners, instructors, and society. The three studies presented at AECT are the examples of current studies carried out at the center.”

The 2021 AECT presentations will focus on the impact of technology and COVID-19 pandemic on students’ learning. The three research topics of 14 researchers being presented are:

  • Strategies for Enhancing Students’ Online Work Skills Post Pandemic: A Mixed Methods Study;
  • Covid-19 Impacts on College Nursing Students and Nursing Faculty;
  • RTD-Immersive Virtual Reality in STEM Education: A Review of Literature.

AECT is an international professional association of instructional designers, educators and professionals. This year’s virtual and in-person conference in Chicago, themed Homecoming (Homestaying): A Return to Learning through Innovation, will offer practical applications, research, workshops, and demonstrations of new technologies in teaching and learning.
