Tech Elevator Announces New Campus in Wilmington, Delaware

National coding bootcamp leader offers tuition-free enrollment to meet growing demand for tech talent in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tech Elevator, an intensive educational provider helping individuals and companies gain in-demand technology skills for the modern workforce, is pleased to announce the launch of its new campus in Wilmington, Delaware at 824 North Market Street—now accepting student applications for its January 2022 coding bootcamp cohort. Tech Elevator partnered with Tech Impact, a leading provider of technology education and solutions for nonprofit organizations, to offer its full-stack, full-time program at no cost to eligible student applicants.

To help meet the growing demand for technology professionals in Delaware, Tech Elevator and Tech Impact will work together to reskill 200 area students over the next three years. The opportunity is made possible through Tech Impact’s Tech Hire Delaware initiative to train current job seekers for middle-skilled occupations in the IT industry—with support from the Delaware Department of Labor One Workforce grant.

“Together with Tech Impact, we can make career transformation possible for individuals who dream of a career in tech and are eager to change the trajectory of their life. Because we can offer the program for free through Tech Impact’s One Workforce Grant, this campus will be unlike any other,” said Caitie Zajko, Campus Director, Tech Elevator. “We will be able to generate significant economic impact both for our students and the community in a very short timeframe.”

Tech Elevator has placed nearly 2,000 students in technology jobs at over 500 companies, which represent an aggregate increase of more than $2.5 billion in lifetime earnings. The coding bootcamp has five other campuses in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia, in addition to its National Live Remote program serving students online around the country. Tech Elevator is committed to transparency in outcomes reporting through CIRR.org and has earned a reputation for industry-leading placement performance—with a graduation rate of 95% and a 180-day job placement rate of 90%.

Zajko added: “We are excited to serve as the connector for our students to opportunities in tech with Delaware employers including leading financial institutions like Capital One, J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America.”
