GALESBURG, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Power management company Eaton today announced its Vehicle Group has launched two aftermarket ELocker differentials for the 2018 and newer Jeep® Wrangler JL and 2020 and newer Jeep Gladiator® JT equipped with both manual and automatic transmissions. The electric locking differentials are a dependable option for the off-road enthusiast, needing just one wire to actuate and requiring no additional components such as air lines and compressors.
The Eaton ELocker® differential is an electronic locking differential designed for drivers that want full control and traction on demand. It features net-forged gears offering the strength and durability needed for off-road and recreational driving, while its electronic controls provide driver-selectable operation and added reliability over similar air-controlled products. By simply pressing a dash switch, the differential sends all available torque to all wheels equally, providing maximum traction to overcome challenging terrain.
“Jeep enthusiasts are devoted to their vehicles and many have a strong desire to customize them,” said Corneliu Bogdan, director, Aftermarket Product Strategy, Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America. “Our new reliable ELocker® differentials for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models feature simple push-button operation, allowing drivers to quickly switch from highway cruising to off-road traction.”
