MERGE Acquires Perkuto to Orchestrate the Rhythm of Marketing Operations Platforms

Perkuto’s Marketo expertise enhances MERGE’s ability to convert traffic to transactions in ecommerce

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MERGE, a premium storytelling technology company that promotes health, wealth and happiness, announced today the acquisition of the marketing operations company, Perkuto. This addition expands MERGE’s marketing operations platform capabilities deeper into the sales funnel by offering clients Marketo and Workato managed services.

Perkuto is a top-rated marketing operations agency that helps enterprise and high-growth organizations such as Facebook, Adobe, Sony Biotechnology and Siemens expand marketing capacity, resolve integration challenges with Workato and implement Marketo best practices, so organizations can accelerate the value of marketing operations. Perkuto uses deep expertise, a methodical process and a genuine love for what they do to ensure projects are done correctly, on time, and on budget. Perkuto is an Adobe Platinum Partner with Marketo Engage Specialization and a Workato Gold Partner.

“Getting marketing technology platforms to work in concert is a challenge for senior marketing and digital executives,” said Patrick Venetucci, chief executive officer of MERGE. “Uniting Perkuto’s Marketo expertise with MERGE’s content management system expertise elevates our ability to merge storytelling and technology such that it converts traffic to transactions for clients.”

“We found in MERGE a genuine alignment with our Better Workplace culture and a shared vision for our clients, namely the Automation Movement,” said Alexandre Pelletier, chief executive officer and co-founder of Perkuto. “Together, we are in a unique position to offer enterprise and fast-growing organizations the ability to leverage marketing operations platforms like Marketo and Workato to tell exceptional stories to the world.”

Youcef Bouayad, chief operating officer and co-founder of Perkuto, added, “MERGE unlocks access to more talents as we continue enhancing our products and service offerings for the Enterprise segment. The team will stay focused on Marketo and Workato services, and with MERGE by our side, we can now add fully integrated marketing solutions, including more campaign capabilities ranging from creative content to digital media, to customer experience design and performance marketing capabilities such as SEO, analytics and data science. That’s really exciting!”

MERGE is creating a modern, integrated model that effectively blends creative, experience and technology solutions. In 2020, MERGE united with Sandbox to form one of the largest independent agencies in North America, breaking into the Top 100 on the 2021 Advertising Age Annual Agency Report. Additionally, in the past year, Saurab Bhargava joined MERGE as its first chief digital officer to focus on digital transformation, and Nick Jones joined as its chief client officer to focus on commerce. In August 2021, MERGE united with Blue Moon Digital to enhance MERGE’s performance marketing capability and create the opportunity to expand offerings deeper into the sales funnel.

Based in Montreal Canada, the addition of Perkuto grows the MERGE talent base by more than 55+ people and provides additional opportunities for employees from both organizations to grow and thrive. All the members of the MERGE and Perkuto leadership teams will remain in their current roles and work together to effectively integrate the combined companies under the MERGE brand name.

MergerTech acted as exclusive investment banking advisor to Perkuto in this transaction. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
