ClearCare Is Now WellSky® Personal Care

Rebrand reinforces WellSky’s commitment to provide intelligent, coordinated care solutions that bridge the gap between post-acute and community care

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--()--WellSky, a leading health and community care technology company, today announced that ClearCare, a technology platform for non-medical home-based care, has rebranded to WellSky Personal Care. WellSky acquired ClearCare in 2019 as part of its commitment to enabling coordinated care across the acute, post-acute, and community care continuum. Under WellSky, the company has accelerated the pace of innovation to provide new core platform features and extended the solution to payers, hospitals, and other providers.

The pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we think about healthcare delivery. Today, home-based care is evolving at an unprecedented pace as providers, payers, and consumers recognize the value personal care contributes to helping seniors age in place. Additionally, personal care agencies play a critical role in the adoption and success of emerging health-at-home models as patient volumes shift to lower acuity settings of care.

“As we continue to see more care delivered in the home, it’s our responsibility to support our clients with world-class solutions and unparalleled partnership to bolster their growth,” said Bill Miller, CEO of WellSky. “The name change to WellSky Personal Care reflects how integral personal care is to our overall mission of intelligent, coordinated care delivery and the impact these solutions will have to help lower the overall cost of care, reduce hospital admissions, and achieve sustained growth for our clients.”

WellSky’s end-to-end personal care technology platform combines in-home and virtual care solutions across care delivery, caregiver management, and back-office operations, with easy-to-use interfaces for desktop and mobile devices.

“As the broader healthcare landscape continues to evolve, the coordination between personal care and other settings of care across the continuum is more critical than ever,” said Kunu Kaushal, founder and advocate of the Independent Home Care Alliance and founder and CEO of Senior Solutions Home Care. “We greatly value our partnership with WellSky to navigate through these changes with powerful solutions that help us to optimize both care delivery and our agency operations.”

As the leading technology platform for personal care providers, WellSky Personal Care is HITRUST CSF Certified and powers over 4,500 agencies, including 8 of the largest 10 personal care enterprises, which in turn employ over 600,000 caregivers and represent more than $6 billion in delivery of care annually.

“We will continue to develop innovative solutions that empower personal care agencies to deliver better quality of life and health outcomes for the clients they serve,” said Wes Little, chief analytics officer and general manager of WellSky Home. “We look forward to this next chapter as WellSky Personal Care accelerates the delivery of intelligent solutions that help agencies grow and operate more efficiently and profitably.”

Geoff Nudd, CEO and founder of ClearCare, was named WellSky’s chief strategy officer in April 2021 and leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives across WellSky. For more information or to request a demo of WellSky Personal Care, visit wellsky.com/personal-care-software.
