Video of Full Presentation Now Available

FRESNO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI, the nation’s largest fully integrated IT and electronics asset disposition provider and cybersecurity-focused hardware destruction company, was a featured expert panelist last week as part of the World Circular Economy Forum.

Co-organized by the Canadian government and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and hosted for the first time in North America, the World Circular Economy Forum brings together forward-looking thinkers and doers, and presents the world’s leading game-changers in the circular economy.

The panel Shegerian participated in was titled “Circular Electronics: Pursuing a New Normal” and featured Shegerian, alongside fellow expert panelists from the Global Electronics Council, Dell Technologies, Security Matters, and ITRenew. The panel was organized and moderated by the Circular Electronics Partnership and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

The discussion explored the actions, key stakeholders, and timeline to achieve a circular electronics industry while providing tangible examples of what organizations and companies are doing to mobilize the transition.

During the virtual presentation, Shegerian shared some of the latest information about the exponential growth of electronic waste. He also discussed critical insights on how businesses can contribute to the solution by becoming part of the circular economy.

“It was a great honor and privilege to present alongside our fellow CEP partners and panelists and our friends from the WBCSD, sharing information about some of the most critical and pressing issues in society today – the mounting glut of e-waste, protecting private data, and moving more and more businesses away from a linear and towards a circular economy,” said Shegerian. “We’re also proud to be able to share best practices and a real-time example of how through innovation and collaboration, we can empower businesses to achieve their ESG and sustainability goals, protect people and the planet and grow our profits all at the same time.”
