Yieldstreet’s Athena Art Finance Unveils 350 Square Foot Interactive Artwork at Armory Show

Wall-Sized Piece Reflects Growing Democratization of Art Ownership

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Yieldstreet, a leading digital investing platform driven to help millions of people claim financial independence by unlocking access to previously unattainable alternative investments, and its subsidiary Athena Art Finance, today unveiled a more than 350 square foot art installation by Emmy-winning artist Mike Perry at the Armory Show at the Javits Center in New York City.

Yieldstreet x Athena and Perry teamed up to collaborate on the piece for New York's leading art fair to feature a tangible and interactive depiction of how Yieldstreet is seeking to reinvent the approach to investing.

Perry, greatly aligned with Yieldstreet’s mission to broaden access to art investments, created the massive piece measuring 39' x 9' to reflect the physical experience of how it feels to own a piece of art, literally, without owning the whole piece and to demonstrate that investing in art is now possible. Comprised of 624 colored tiles, attendees can sign up for and take a single tile with them from the show. A black and white image of the color tile will be left behind, maintaining the original image.

The artist is a multi talented, creative mind working in paintings, animation, sculptures, books, public art installations, monographs, exhibitions, drawings, silkscreens, and more, and is well known for his award-winning animation for Comedy Central’s Broad City. His work has been exhibited across the globe in countries spanning Germany, Australia, China, Singapore, Holland, and solo shows featured in London.

Following the Armory Show, Yieldstreet will also unveil a brand new way for Yieldstreet investors to invest in art, expanding beyond Yieldstreet x Athena's traditional debt platform. Investors will have an opportunity to own a pool of blue-chip and emerging artists' artworks and a means to potentially capitalize on the dramatic growth seen in the high-end art market.
