Element Announces Appointment of Nancy Flores to its Board of Directors

Adds Singh Garewal and Bill Keeshen to Executive Team

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Element today announced the appointment of Nancy Flores to its Board of Directors and the expansion of its executive team with the addition of Singh Garewal as Vice President of Marketing and Bill Keeshen as Vice President of Sales. Flores serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at McKesson, and joins Element’s board as an independent board member.

“Element’s growth is accelerating as businesses reopen and industrial companies begin to realize the key role data and proper metadata management can have on their supply chain and overall operations,” said Andy Bane, CEO of Element. “To help us scale, we are building out our team with the appointments announced today and believe their leadership at Element will be integral as we work to help our industrial customers achieve both scale and scope in their digital transformation.”

Flores is a results-driven technology executive with a record of transformational change and elevating performance. In Flores’ current role at McKesson, she is responsible for McKesson’s technology initiatives including software, infrastructure, application development tools and processes, operations, and cybersecurity. She also guides the overall direction for the company’s healthcare technology products, and data and analytics.

Prior to McKesson, Flores served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Johnson Controls where she ran information technology, cybersecurity, and analytics. Before that role, she served in multiple leadership positions at Abbott over the course of two decades. In addition to the Element board, Flores is on the board of directors for Children’s Wisconsin, one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals, and on the board of the Dallas Regional Chamber.

“Industrial companies have always struggled with inefficiencies between IT and OT, which can have significant financial implications on a business,” said Nancy Flores, Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at McKesson. “What Element is doing with Unify to align data between the two will be a game-changer for the industrial sector and I look forward to contributing to board discussions as the company continues to grow.”

The announcement follows Element Unify’s integration with AWS IoT SiteWise, a managed service from Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) that makes it easy to collect, store, organize, and monitor data from industrial equipment at scale.
