SkyPoint FCU Leadership Completes Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Certificate Program From Georgetown University

Providing the company with DEI strategies that align with HR and business objectives

GERMANTOWN, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SkyPoint Federal Credit Union (SkyPoint), a premier, member-owned financial institution, announces their Manager of Talent Acquisition and Development, Santita Prather, officially completed the Georgetown Certificate Program on Advancing DEI in the Workplace in June 2021. Prather will lead the development, implementation, and measurement of DEI efforts within the credit union.

Advancing DEI in the workplace is another investment that SkyPoint is making to demonstrate the importance of financial inclusivity for all its members.”

The Credit Union Foundation of MD|DC selected SkyPoint to receive a financial grant for Georgetown’s Certificate Program. These grants were only available for a limited number of credit unions on their DEI journey. During the three-month program, Prather, received in-depth information and training about DEI as it pertains to all human resources efforts.

Prather joined SkyPoint in December 2019 after 22 collective years of experience in the human services and public health fields. Bringing with her a passion for working in the community, joining a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) servicing low-moderate income communities was a natural fit.
