Instabase Joins Microsoft for Startups to Streamline Delivery of Enterprise Applications

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Today, Instabase, a horizontal application platform that helps global companies solve unstructured data problems, announced it has joined Microsoft for Startups, a global program designed to propel startups with access to technology and business assistance. The relationship enables Instabase’s flexible and scalable platform, toolkits and applications to incorporate Azure features.

We are building an entirely new way for businesses to build, run and share software applications that will change the way organizations operate,” said Anant Bhardwaj, Instabase founder and CEO. “Joining Microsoft for Startups will ensure even more companies have the ability to access applications that solve their real-world business problems quickly and at scale.”

By creating an open platform ecosystem, Instabase enables customers to utilize best of breed technology across its platform and third-party offerings. Through its work with Microsoft, Instabase customers are able to build powerful document understanding use cases that leverage components from Azure Cognitive Services directly within the Instabase platform to improve data accuracy, while ensuring enterprise security. This is due to Instabase’s flexible platform architecture that can take advantage of all the latest opportunities that Microsoft’s on-premises, cloud, and containerization technologies offer.

One specific example of an Azure component accessible via the Instabase platform is Computer Vision, part of Azure Cognitive Services, which enables higher data accuracy for a wide set of enterprise use cases including document processing. In the coming months, Instabase and Microsoft will be releasing further product integrations to enable customers to have access to additional integrations, deployment models, and platform security functionality.

Instabase provides powerful building blocks that leverage natural language processing, machine learning, and computer vision for understanding unstructured data and documents. Customers can then package these building blocks together to create easy-to-deploy, business applications. From the beginning, Instabase was created to be enterprise ready and can be deployed in the cloud, on-premises or in hybrid cloud environments to seamlessly integrate into all customer environments without compromising on security or privacy. As such, Instabase is the trusted platform used by Fortune 100 companies including Standard Chartered, MetLife Insurance, and NatWest.

Microsoft for Startups was started with the goal of supporting innovative startups, like Instabase,” said Jeffrey Ma, vice president, Microsoft for Startups. “Their work harnessing Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services to deliver a breakthrough solution to our joint customers exemplifies what’s possible through the program.”
