Clearday Announces Acquisition of Leading San Antonio Adult Daily Care Provider Primrose Lane

 Updated Facility Will Be Re-Branded as a Clearday Club™, Including Expanded Cognitive Care Services for Veterans

SAN ANTONIO--()--Clearday, an innovative leader in delivering high-quality, non-acute longevity care services that enable seniors to age in place, today announced its acquisition of Primrose Lane Adult Day Care, one of San Antonio’s leading adult daily care service providers. Clearday expects to update and re-brand Primrose Lane as a Clearday Club™ that is supported by Clearday’s broader technology and services platform for personalized cognitive care, programming, and its proprietary virtual in-home services.

For nearly 10 years, Primrose Lane has provided exceptional adult daytime care services for seniors. Primrose works with the U.S. Veterans Administration, and others, to provide day care services in Bexar County, and has built a strong local reputation for serving the needs of military veterans.

With the acquisition and transition to a Clearday Club, Primrose customers and their families will access an expanded array of Clearday-powered services and programming, designed to improve the quality of daily life, and help delay the need for residential care, including:

  • Clearday’s proprietary Behavior Engagement Sensory Temperament (BEST) Test, which establishes a monthly benchmark for each member’s cognitive health;

  • Personalized monthly Care Plans using BEST Test results, which can be consistently administered by Staff at the Clearday Club and at home by family members or home care workers;

  • Clearday Restore, a proprietary, innovative, multi-sensory therapy tailored to the needs of those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia or cognitive challenges; and

  • Access to Clearday at Home™, Clearday’s virtual, non-acute care platform that provides families with resources and content they need to provide superior care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other lifestyle-limiting conditions.

Because adult day care services are included in the VHA Standard Medical Benefits Package, all enrolled veterans are eligible if they meet the clinical need for day care services, with the benefit covering Clearday Club sessions up to five times per week. Clearday will continue Primrose Lane’s commitment and service to San Antonio area veterans and aims to expand the reach of its services to the broader veteran community.

“We are thrilled to add Primrose Lane and its leadership team to our Clearday Clubs’ portfolio, and to expand upon the outstanding services they’ve provided to the San Antonio veteran community,” said Jim Walesa, Clearday’s President and CEO. “We firmly believe that Clearday’s services can fill a critical need for families of older veterans looking for more affordable, accessible cognitive care, whether at home using Clearday at Home or in one of our Clearday Clubs. Primrose’s strong relationship with the VA provides us with a great platform to pursue these broader initiatives.”
