Current Introduces Albeo® High Bay Fixtures with App-Based Controls for Intelligent Industrial Environments

The marriage of industry-leading Daintree® Wireless Controls and Albeo high bay lighting fixtures provides a fast, efficient way for industrial facilities to meet code and commission lighting projects.

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE Current, a Daintree company recently introduced a selection of its industry-leading fixtures from the Albeo® High Bay portfolio that are available to order with Daintree® EZ Connect controls pre-installed. The combination makes the potential of intelligent environments, including easier code compliance and greater efficiency, more accessible to warehouse and industrial facilities.

As an app-based controls solution, Daintree EZ Connect allows building managers to create custom program parameters, organize fixtures into zones and easily troubleshoot issues the second they arise by communicating with the existing Daintree sensors within the Albeo fixtures.

Thanks to Daintree EZ Connect, updating a warehouse’s high bay fixtures to ensure code compliance has never been easier. In fact, building managers can have complete control of the fixtures with their feet firmly planted on the ground: Unlike other industrial lighting controls solutions that require the sensor to be physically accessed during commissioning and maintenance, Albeo fixtures with Daintree EZ Connect can be managed from the ground—without the need for a scissor lift.

“We are excited for the opportunities Daintree EZ Connect and Albeo will give warehouse and building managers,” said Melissa Wesorick, Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at Current. “Industrial settings are ripe for efficiency savings, productivity upgrades and safety enhancements, and these high bay fixtures with Daintree EZ Connect can make an instant impact on these environments.”

With Daintree EZ Connect, each fixture or zone can be programmed independently to meet energy code requirements, enabling projects to be commissioned faster while meeting strict regulations, such as maximizing daylight harvesting in spaces with skylights. The app-based commissioning process allows for a simple, speedy installation and setup, helping facilities save on maintenance, labor and energy costs. No communication to a cloud or gateway is required. Fixtures can also be upgraded in the future to the full-featured Daintree Networked platform.

The Albeo ABC, Albeo ABV and Albeo ABN are the first high bay fixtures to be offered with Daintree EZ Connect built in. These fixtures are ideal for a variety of applications, including warehouses, recreation centers, manufacturing facilities, hangars and more. Additional fixtures with Daintree controls will be made available to order in the coming months.
