OneStream Software Announces Certification Program for Architects and System Administrators, Publishes OneStream Foundation Handbook

New program will establish a thriving community of proven OneStream certified professionals prepared to support the company’s growing customer base

ROCHESTER, Mich.--()--OneStream Software, a leader in corporate performance management (CPM) solutions for the world’s leading enterprises, announced today that it has launched a certification program for OneStream architects and system administrators. The company has also launched “OneStream Press” and published its first book – the “OneStream Foundation Handbook.”

The OneStream Certification Program and Architect Factory will establish a thriving community of proven OneStream Certified professionals prepared to support the future of intelligent finance. OneStream’s certifications will demonstrate the highest levels of technical competency, productivity, and industry recognition, offering a way to advance careers and gain a competitive advantage.

“The Architect Factory and Certification programs are important steps in establishing OneStream as a leader and standard in the industry for corporate performance management,” said Tom Shea, CEO at OneStream Software. “The goal is to establish programs that increase the number of enabled architects and system administrators in the market to support our growing base of over 700 customers globally.”

The program will offer four levels of role-based certification, OneStream Certified Associates (OCA), OneStream Certified Professionals (OCP), OneStream Certified Specialists (OCS), and OneStream Certified Masters (OCM). The program will be rolled out in multiple phases, beginning with the OneStream Certified Professional (OCP) – Lead Architect exam. To achieve OneStream Certified status, candidates must pass an online, secure and proctored hybrid multiple-choice and performance-based exam. The exam will be based on a combination of the OneStream Foundation Handbook, formal training material, commonly referenced product documentation, and real-world scenarios. The first exam is designed for Lead Architects to demonstrate their technical implementation knowledge and skills.

“I really like the idea of the performance-based assessments,” said Phil Brosnan, Finance IT Consultant at Finit Solutions. “I know they will be much more difficult to score than multiple-choice questions (especially questions like the confirmation rule question, which could be built a dozen different ways), but they really seem to test practical knowledge better than multiple-choice questions can.”

“I am delighted to participate in the OneStream Lead Architect certification program. With over seven years flying time with OneStream and having completed multiple implementations, the assessment was a great opportunity to validate my technical skills around the OneStream platform,” said Mathijs van der Vlis, Lead Architect and Managing Director Benelux at Agium EPM. “The certification is a nice opportunity to endorse not only my professional experience, but also the position of Agium EPM as an experienced OneStream Diamond Partner. This is most definitely a differentiator for architects focusing on OneStream.”

Beyond the formal examination, OneStream Press pairs with industry experts to encourage and support the development of accurate and useful technical textbooks designed to promote understanding and awareness of OneStream products, ultimately increasing product advocacy, and ensuring customer success. As the first book published by OneStream Press, the OneStream Foundation Handbook provides the knowledge to become OneStream Certified.

“I am incredibly proud to be part of the team that has delivered such a successful certification exam. I strongly believe this will be our best way to measure our community’s skill and to ensure continued exceptional implementation success,” said Peter Fugere, Chief Strategic Solutions Officer at OneStream Software. “As our certification program expands, our training evolves and becomes more accessible, and OneStream Press launches more exciting new releases. I expect all of these initiatives will combine into a world-class certification program.”

OneStream is currently developing future textbook content and a virtual community page where customers, partners and employees can access shared technical support and resources to increase verified certifications for customers and partners alike.
