dLocal Unlocks the Brazilian Market to International Sellers

dLocal’s marketplace solution enables international merchants to sell for the first time in Latin America’s largest eCommerce country

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--dLocal, a technology-first payments platform that enables global enterprise merchants to connect with billions of consumers in emerging countries, today announced a new milestone. The new agreement enables non-domestic merchants, for the first time, to sell their products in Brazil on Amazon’s online store using dLocal’s new marketplace solution.

With dLocal, Amazon can now pay its amazon.com.br international sellers their revenue share in USD. This agreement opens the Amazon.com.br online store in an unprecedented way to international sellers, enabling them to sell their goods in Brazil, speeding both time-to-market and minimizing operational costs, enabling easier access to the Brazilian customers.

Brazil’s 105 million eCommerce users continue to offer an outstanding opportunity for online retailers. Amazon is offering a wider range of goods from international sellers to ensure great shopping experience to its Brazilian consumers, with local payment methods such as credit card with installments.

“Amazon is a pioneer when it comes to online commerce innovation and today, we are bridging the needs of eCommerce consumers in Brazil with the rest of the world,” said Jean-Gabriel de Mourges, head of Amazon’s LATAM business.

“Today marks an important milestone for us in our relationship with Amazon,” said Michel Golffed, Senior Vice President of Growth at dLocal. “We evolved from a local payment solution provider to develop a complex marketplace solution integration. Through this expansion of our strategic relationship, we are giving sellers not present in Brazil for the first time the opportunity to access the Brazil’s eCommerce explosive growth on Amazon’s marketplace. Meanwhile, Brazilian consumers will have many more choices when they shop with Amazon.”
