Hotwire Promotes Heather Craft and Laura Macdonald to Co-Presidents, North America

SAN FRANCISCO & NEW YORK--()--Hotwire, the global tech communications consultancy, has named Heather Craft and Laura Macdonald as co-presidents of the North America business effective July 1. Previously, Craft and Macdonald served as EVP, Head of B2B and EVP, Head of Consumer respectively.

The announcement follows the promotion of Heather Kernahan to Global CEO of Hotwire, by parent company Enero Group. Under the leadership of Craft, Kernahan, and Macdonald, the North American business has continued to gain momentum and has earned recognition such as 2020 PRovoke Media Global Tech Agency of the Year, America's Best PR Agencies by Forbes Magazine, PR Week Best Place to Work for the past two years and 2021 PRovoke Media Best Agencies to Work For.

As co-presidents, both leaders will be responsible for jointly running the business and will also each have an area of focus. Craft will be focused on client experience and Macdonald will lead on new business and marketing activities.

Proven Tech Leaders Partner to Accelerate Growth

Heather Craft joined Hotwire in 2016 and was most recently executive vice president and the head of B2B. She currently oversees many of the consultancy’s largest B2B clients across enterprise software and security, fintech and financial services. Heather has extensive expertise leading integrated communications programs of scale, spanning early-stage startups to established public companies. She drives external and internal communications programs for high-stakes moments including IPOs, M&As, reputation management and executive changes, notably the public listings of Pinterest, McAfee and Procore. Recently, she has led the US team on the Hotwire Ignite Possibility Program – a global initiative that is part of Hotwire’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy to amplify the people and organizations creating meaningful and sustainable change in the world through technology.

Laura Macdonald has been with Hotwire for over a decade and has played an integral role in building the business in North America. In her role as head of consumer at Hotwire in North America, she works with brands at the intersection of technology and consumers, helping consumer brands tell a tech and innovation story, while helping technology companies reach new consumer audiences. Recent work includes supporting online lending platform Kiva to get underrepresented individuals in the US and globally access to financial loans during the pandemic, including an ongoing program with celebrity Sofia Vergara.

Current clients for Hotwire North America include Adobe, Avaya, Brightspot, Commvault, Desktop Metal, eBay, GoPro, Intermedia, Kiva, McAfee and Procore.
