Sonic Launches June Service Lane Promotion At Houston Area Dealerships

HOUSTON--()--Sonic Automotive, Inc. (“Sonic” or the “Company”) (NYSE:SAH), a Fortune 500 Company and one of the nation’s largest automotive retailers, today announced a commitment alongside the Dave Ward & Friends Podcast to raise funds for the Houston Children’s Charity, a non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life for Greater Houston's underprivileged, abused and disabled children, with the launch of its June Service Lane Promotion.

Throughout the month of June, Sonic is running a special promotion for guests who visit any of the 16 Sonic Automotive service locations in Houston. The amount will be applied as a credit to the service bill, and Sonic Automotive will match each donation dollar for dollar. One hundred percent of donations will go to the Houston Children’s Charity to directly benefit children in need.

Additionally, Friends of Dave Ward will receive other perks, including:

  • 25% off any service or repair with a maximum savings of $150 with code “DWFRIEND”
  • $500 cash towards the purchase of a new vehicle
  • $250 cash towards the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle
  • $500 in trade in cash

“Sonic Automotive is proud to be a part of the Houston community, and honored to join hands with Dave Ward and Friends and Houston Children’s Charity to raise the quality of life and standard of care for underprivileged children,” said David Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Sonic Automotive and EchoPark Automotive. “Sonic has a rich heritage of community involvement, and we are committed to helping those in need.”

To kick off the promotion, Sonic Automotive and EchoPark Automotive President Jeff Dyke will be a guest on the next episode of the Dave Ward & Friends Podcast, where the legendary Houston TV anchor sits down with longtime friends and discusses the past six decades. Jeff is a Houston native, where he was born and raised and lived there until 2005, when he made the move to Sonic’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
