NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CFRA, one of the world’s largest providers of independent investment research, announced today that Theresa Torian has been appointed to the position of President of CFRA, in addition to her current Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsibilities. Theresa will oversee the company’s entire global operations and will drive strategic initiatives to maximize the company’s strengths and position CFRA for the next stage of growth. Theresa will also join CFRA’s Board of Directors.
Theresa will be responsible for managing CFRA’s core functions and business units including global research & data, sales & marketing, product & technology, and finance & operations. Theresa will direct CFRA’s senior leadership teams to enhance and expand the company’s abilities to anticipate and meet the needs of existing and new customers and promote greater coordination across CFRA’s businesses. She will report to CFRA’s CEO and work alongside the Board of Directors as an active board member.

Theresa has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of CFRA since she joined CFRA in 2016. She has led numerous strategic, financial, and operational efforts as well as overseen the execution and integration of multiple acquisitions.
Prior to joining CFRA, Theresa was the Senior Director of Finance, Corporate Controller for SNL Financial (now part of S&P Global) where she worked for approximately ten years in helping the business to scale to $250 million in revenues and over 3,000 employees. Prior to SNL Financial, she was Director of Business Management with LexisNexis and a Consulting Manager with Grant Thornton LLP. Theresa graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Mathematics and holds an MBA from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business, William & Mary.
