SPARK Microsystems Announces New Chief Revenue Officer for Accelerating Business Growth in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Wireless Connectivity

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SPARK Microsystems today announced the appointment of Tom Spade as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Spade, who has more than 30 years experience in semiconductor sales leadership, will oversee global sales and applications, including a focus on distribution and vertical markets as SPARK Microsystems continues to strengthen its team for the next phase of growth.

“We are excited to welcome Tom to SPARK Microsystems, where he’ll lead the revenue efforts with a focus on customer engagement,” said CEO, Fares Mubarak. “Tom joins us at a pivotal time as SPARK continues to succeed in accelerating customer traction on multiple application fronts, where we’re helping to create use cases that, until now, were not possible.”

“SPARK Microsystems is uniquely positioned to lead the way in the next generation of ultra-wideband technology, and I look forward to contributing to this evolution in gaming, audio, IoT and many other industries,” said Spade. “The accelerating commercialization of UWB technology has only scratched the surface of a massive market opportunity, and SPARK is committed to helping our customers leverage UWB’s myriad advantages, such as low latency and low power consumption, over legacy protocols like Bluetooth and WiFi.”

Prior to joining SPARK Microsystems, Spade was Vice President of Global Sales for Adesto (acquired by Dialog, 2020). He previously held sales leadership positions at Audience (acquired by Knowles, 2015), Boston Power, Validity Sensors (acquired by Synaptics, 2013), Synaptics and Alliance Semiconductor.
