Keystone Names Curt Warner as Director of Sales Development

A former NFL running back, Curt will inspire and elevate our new agent onboarding experience.

NORTHUMBERLAND, Pa.--()--While the insurance industry grows and adapts to AI, automation, and mobile service, one standard remains foundational – a high level of motivation. In that vein, Keystone Insurers Group (Keystone) names Curt Warner as our Director of Sales Development to mentor current and new agents and develop new business opportunities as we expand across the nation.

Keystone, one of the top agency partnerships in the United States, is built on a community of some of the best independent insurance agencies. Curt will help us increase revenue growth, new programs, and agent onboarding through his extensive knowledge of utilizing effective sales and team collaboration techniques.

Curt is not new to the insurance industry, serving as an agent, agency owner, and employee benefits specialist in the Portland, OR area. There, he increased overall sales and customer retention and built management training processes to meet customer demands and service expectations. He also owned and managed a Chevrolet dealership that ranked #1 in the Portland region’s Customer Satisfaction Index.

“Curt brings the right mix of R&D, process, mentorship, and coaching that drives sales effectiveness,” noted Joe Joyce, executive vice president of P&C and Geographic Expansion. “He will be invaluable in educating new agents on our core offerings and evaluating new opportunities for expansion as we continue to grow.”

If the name sounds familiar… Curt has a long history of creating winning teams on a national scale. A former NFL running back with the Seattle Seahawks, he was named the 1985 NFL Comeback Player of the Year by Sports Illustrated. A graduate of Penn State University, he led the PSU football team to their first national championship and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009.

“The one thing about sports is that you can talk about what you want to do, but when you put on your helmet, then you really see what you can do,” Warner said. “It takes a plan, and it takes teamwork at every level, but then it takes action. Actions will speak louder than words – what you’re going to do to help educate and solve challenges, so clients make better decisions.”

About Keystone Insurers Group (Keystone) -- Keystone started in 1983 when four independent insurance agencies teamed up to pool their experience and expertise. Growing to almost 300 independent agency partners in 17 states, Keystone provides its agents with a community of like-minded agencies, industry expertise and access to specialized products for their clients. Keystone is ranked number four on Insurance Journal's 2020 list of Top 20 Property/Casualty Agency Partnerships. For more information, go to www.keystoneinsgrp.com.
