ACI Worldwide’s Craig Ramsey Appointed to U.S. Faster Payments Council’s Board Advisory Group

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading global provider of real-time digital payment software and solutions, today announced that the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC), a membership organization devoted to advancing faster payments in the United States, has selected ACI’s Craig Ramsey, head of Real-Time Payments, to be part of its FPC Board Advisory Group. The FPC Board Advisory Group advises the FPC Board of Directors and FPC staff to make the most of growing trends in the faster payments market.

ACI is actively involved in driving real-time payments around the world, collaborating with organizations such as The Clearing House (TCH), Payments Canada, Pay.UK, Euro Banking Association and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Earlier this year, the company announced that it has been selected by the Federal Reserve Banks to participate in the pilot program for its upcoming FedNow Service, a new real-time payments service. The program will support development, testing and adoption of the new service.

“The FPC Board Advisory Group is focused on facilitating a world-class payments system where Americans can safely and securely pay anyone, anywhere, at any time and with immediate funds availability,” said Reed Luhtanen, executive director, FPC. “Craig has an extensive real-time payments background, and we look forward to his involvement as we work to drive faster payments.”

Ramsey has more than 30 years' experience supporting banks in their corporate payments and banking needs, working on some of the largest industry initiatives, including major SWIFT upgrades, the introduction of SEPA and PSD2, CLS, ISO 20022, and the global roll outs of real-time payments. “I am excited to join the talented group of payments leaders on the FPC’s Board Advisory Group,” said Ramsey. “This is an exciting time for real-time payments globally, and as the U.S. advances in this area, I look forward to helping the FPC increase adoption.”

ACI currently supports 18 real-time domestic schemes around the world, including Zelle and TCH in the U.S. Approximately 50 percent of the UK’s Faster Payments and 75 percent of Hungary’s AFR transactions are processed through the ACI Low Value Real-Time Payments solution. The ACI Low Value Real-Time Payments solution is also the core processing infrastructure for Malaysia’s Real-Time Retail Payments Platform (RPP). Additionally, ACI has customers using its solution to access Singapore FAST and the Australian NPP (New Payments Platform).
