MPR Wins USACE Contract

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has awarded MPR a $90 million, multi-year contract to provide technical services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and other U.S. Government agencies on behalf of the USACE. The agreement enables MPR and its subcontractor team to continue making important contributions similar to those provided on previous USACE contracts.

“Winning the USACE contract is a testament of the MPR-USACE working relationship developed over more than ten years,” MPR Principal Officer, Bob Coward said. “Last week’s award demonstrates USACE’s continued trust and confidence in MPR’s technical and project management expertise, our team, and the impact we deliver.”

Since winning the initial award in 2010, MPR’s support to the USACE has influenced the progress and success of a variety of projects across the DOE complex, including waste cleanup at Hanford and Oak Ridge National Lab, new construction at Los Alamos National Lab, waste processing at Savannah River Site, and system modernization at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant.

“Our previous USACE projects have allowed us to serve as an industry leader in risk assessments for DOE, bringing new tools and methodologies to assess highly technical, high risk, multi-billion dollar construction projects,” Ryan Downs, MPR Vice President, Federal, said. “We will continue to partner with the USACE to make a difference for them and for the country.”

With this new contract, MPR will continue to provide a broad range of engineering and technical services, particularly nuclear engineering support, delivering strategic program planning, independent cost and schedule evaluation, and risk assessment of mission-critical projects for DOE and other U.S. Government agencies on behalf of the USACE.
