Pioneer Landscape Centers Repurchases Truck Fleet to Boost Product Delivery for Commercial and Industrial Customers in Western U.S.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pioneer Landscape Centers, which has been serving residential, commercial and industrial customers in the western U.S. since 1968, today announced it has purchased its truck fleet from Hub Group, Inc., who has owned and managed the fleet on Pioneer’s behalf since 2018.

“The heart of our business is our logistics network that allows us to source, ship and deliver an unrivaled range of landscape products,” said CEO Mark Adamson. “Regaining control of our entire trucking fleet is something we have worked toward for a while now and we are delighted that today we have achieved that aim.”

In addition, Adamson remarked, “I am particularly pleased to welcome our new team members to the Pioneer family. Many of the drivers had worked for us previously and we are pleased to have them back in the fold.”

The initiative for the Pioneer-owned trucking fleet has been managed in parallel to enhancements to the company’s delivery management systems and further empowers Pioneer employees to deliver on their customers’ specific needs.

“We think our customer service enhancements will be particularly valuable for small- to medium-sized contractors,” continued Adamson, “who must coordinate materials and staffing resources to maximize their profits. At Pioneer, we know that when our customers succeed, we succeed.”

Pioneer is one of the leading landscape and hardscape materials suppliers in the country and sets itself apart from competitors by sourcing the majority of its materials through its own quarries and production facilities.

Company-owned and operated quarries, fleet assets, and retail locations allow Pioneer to offer unrivaled quality and service while delivering a greater range of materials to their customers.
