Covera Health Expands Leadership Team with New Head of Provider Partnerships

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kate Barimani has joined Covera Health as Vice President of Provider Partnerships to deepen and further support Covera’s fast-growing base of provider partners.

Covera Health works with payers and providers in all 50 states to improve outcomes for patients by preventing medical misdiagnoses, one of the leading causes of patient harm and unnecessary healthcare expense. Barimani will expand Covera’s provider-focused teams and work to strengthen the company’s extensive collaborations with the radiology community across the country.

“Kate’s joining couldn’t come at a more exciting time in the evolution and growth of Covera Health, as we continue to experience massive adoption of our quality platform by both payers and providers alike,” said Covera Health CEO Ron Vianu. “Kate and her team will work closely with the radiology community to support and continuously empower them with insights and tools to serve their patients better.”

Previously, Barimani served as Vice President of Client Management and General Manager at The Advisory Board Company, overseeing client success for all US hospital and health system clients. The Advisory Board is a solutions-driven research and consulting services firm serving many of the country’s top providers. While at The Advisory Board, she led critical initiatives partnering with health care leaders across the industry to advance their strategic goals and align with a rapidly changing healthcare landscape.

“Covera not only delivers truly impactful quality analytics, but does so through a platform that connects and aligns the payer and provider communities in support of the patients they serve. It’s one of the most important ingredients in driving the success of any quality-focused initiative. I’m incredibly excited to help our provider community reach their goals,” Barimani said. “There is no doubt that high-quality radiology is a foundation for improved patient outcomes and reduced healthcare costs, and I look forward to contributing to this essential work.”

Richard Herzog, MD, FACR, and Chief Medical Officer for Covera Health, added, “Kate’s expertise will ensure that our company understands and recognizes the needs of our providers to promote their continued success in delivering outstanding radiology care in every community across the United States.”
