Media advisory – Morneau Shepell reveals research on Canadians’ mental health at 10th annual workplace summit

Three-time Olympic gold medallist Tessa Virtue joins leading Canadian organizations for virtual panel on trends in workplace mental health

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ongoing economic instability and pandemic-related anxieties, in both work and personal life, continue to negatively affect the mental health of Canadians. Over the past year, Morneau Shepell has followed several critical trends and patterns in its Mental Health Index™ and on January 28, the company will present its findings. With so much uncertainty and change throughout 2020, Morneau Shepell’s research shows the mental health of working Canadians has declined significantly, in large part due to a sharp increase in burnout and worsening isolation, optimism and psychological health.

At Employers Connect 2021, Morneau Shepell’s in-depth analysis will feature workplace mental health and explore the pandemic’s impact on Canadians’ wellbeing. A range of panellists will share their personal perspectives, offer insight on how to approach issues, discuss the need for mental health support in today’s turbulent climate, and examine trends and strategies organizations can implement to support their employees’ overall wellbeing.

Morneau Shepell invites members of the media to attend Employers Connect.
