Metric5 Wins $63M Joint Venture Contract to Provide DevOps Software Development at the Department of the Treasury for the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau

Octo Metric JV will provide Agile development, maintenance, security, and operational support of TTB’s new and existing business applications.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Metric5, a member of the Octo Metric Joint Venture (JV) with Octo, is pleased to announce it has been awarded the DevOps - Software Development Services (DO-SDS) contract at the U.S. Treasury’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). Offering end-to-end DevOps support, Octo will provide Development and Operations of mission enabling applications, including IT management and governance, business process analysis, solution architecture and design, application development and configuration, and database and server management. The contract period of performance covers five years and has a total value of $63 million.

TTB’s mission is to collect alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and ammunition excise taxes to ensure alcoholic beverages are labeled, advertised, and marketed in accordance with the law, and to administer the laws and regulations in a manner that protects the revenue, protects the consumer, and promotes voluntary compliance. TTB is responsible for enforcing the laws regulating alcohol production, importation, and wholesale businesses; tobacco manufacturing and importing businesses; and alcohol labeling and advertising.
