GPA BeWell Receives “Gold Level” Recognition for Workplace Health From American Heart Association

Recognition goes to companies with the best, evidence-based approaches to employee health programs and workplace heart health

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GPA BeWell has achieved national Gold Level recognition, the highest honor, in the American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index, a science-based assessment that defines best practices and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of an organization’s efforts to improve employee health and build a culture of health in the workplace.

“BeWell truly stands out in the world of workplace wellness for its customization, integration and, above all, its ability to achieve meaningful, life changing outcomes. BeWell’s dedication to providing excellent service is so appreciated and we are proud to be recognized by the AHA with this Gold Level achievement for our workplace health,” said Kathy Enochs, Chief Executive Officer.

GPA’s internal commitment to health also applies to the clients the company services. City of Ennis and Uvalde Memorial Hospital partners with GPA BeWell to create healthier workplaces and has also received the Workplace Health Achievement Index recognition. Irene Kasujja, Director of Human Resources at City of Ennis said, “We couldn't do it without you, your excellent team. I am glad we have GPA to keep us streamlined.”

The Workplace Health Achievement Index was developed by the American Heart Association’s CEO Roundtable to evaluate and recognize organizations that provide high quality and effective workplace wellness programs. The Index is a web-based scorecard that looks at organizational best practices and aggregates employee health data to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs. Companies receive benchmarking reports, which allow them to identify potential areas of improvement so that they can advance their annual performance and recognition.
