Kinetic by Windstream Announces New Partnership With St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® During Annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving® Holiday Campaign

Kinetic will donate up to $100,000 for lifesaving research and treatment of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kinetic by Windstream, a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions, today announced support for finding a cure for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases through the 2020 St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. This month, for every new internet customer, Kinetic will donate $5, up to $100,000, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and the fight against childhood cancer as part of our Kinetic 4 Kids program to support the annual tradition that raises funds to directly support the St. Jude mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®

“It means so much to have Kinetic by Windstream join our St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign, especially in this very difficult year," said Marlo Thomas, National Outreach Director for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. “We all know that the days ahead may continue to be hard, but they won’t be impossible—because nothing is impossible when we work together. Because of Kinetic by Windstream’s support and participation in the campaign, St. Jude can continue to expand our research, optimize our treatments and never give up until we end childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.”

Kinetic joins the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign to unite world-class brands around a common goal – to build awareness and raise funds to support vital research and treatment. Because of generous supporters, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

“At Kinetic by Windstream, while our job is to deliver communications services to our customers, our mission is to connect families and businesses, as well as support communities,” said Jeff Small, president of Kinetic. “Many of us across our 18-state footprint are part of families and communities who have benefited from the work of St. Jude. We are humbled to support the continued effort to ensure families have what they need for their children’s health.”

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped increase the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened over 50 years ago. Cancer doesn’t stop and neither will St. Jude.
