NEPC Adds Former Investment Advisory CEO to Leading Endowments and Foundations Practice

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NEPC, LLC, one of the largest independent, research-driven investment consulting firms, today announced that Scott Harsh, former CEO and president of FEG Investment Advisors, has joined NEPC’s Endowments and Foundations practice group as a principal and senior consultant. Harsh joins NEPC’s team of specialized investment consultants with decades of experience advising endowments and foundations.

As CEO of FEG, Harsh helped grow the firm to advise approximately $69 billion in assets. Over the course of 28 years at the nonprofit-focused firm, he nurtured critical relationships and created growth strategies for his clients.

“Endowments and foundations need a strong partner to navigate today’s new normal,” said Scott Perry, partner and co-leader of NEPC’s Endowments and Foundations practice. “NEPC is proud to serve as that trusted partner and guide organizations in balancing short-term financial strains with their long-term strategic goals. As a respected leader in the industry, Scott is a natural addition to our team of top endowment and foundation consultants.”

In Harsh’s new role, he will work with some of the world’s most complex and sophisticated community foundations, universities and other institutional investors to structure their investment policies, expand impact investing programs, and establish financial plans to meet the heightened challenges of today’s world. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Scott will also be instrumental in expanding NEPC’s presence in the Southeast and Midwest of the United States.

“NEPC’s client-centric model, research-driven approach, and deep expertise in impact investing were immediately appealing to me,” said Harsh. “I’m glad to be joining a firm with such a strong reputation for delivering customized, forward-thinking solutions to their endowments and foundations clients. Balancing short-term spending needs with long-term investment decisions is more complex than ever, and I look forward to working with the team to help our clients achieve this balance.”
