Philips Featured on Forbes List of America’s Best Employers by State

Philips employees identify the company as a top employer in five states across the country

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced that the company earned several spots on the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers by State. This is the list’s second annual iteration, which features the organizations across the country that are best liked by employees. Philips has been ranked as a top employer in five states this year, including Connecticut, Washington, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California.

Created by Forbes in collaboration with market research company Statista, the list is divided into 51 rankings, one for each of the 50 states plus Washington D.C. It was compiled based on survey data from 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. The surveys were conducted on a rolling basis from October 2019 to May 2020, with responses being compared throughout the process to account for any statistically significant variations in the results collected before and after the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

“At Philips, we work extremely hard to attract and retain the best talent around the world and throughout the country. It is with our incredible employees that we strive to deliver on our mission to improve the lives of three billion people a year by 2030,” said Cynthia Burkhardt, global head of talent acquisition for Philips North America. “We take great care to provide an environment in which employees can innovate and thrive in ways that provide real value to our healthcare partners and the patients they serve. It is gratifying to receive this honor, knowing how passionate our employees are about our organization, mission and ultimate goal of making lives better.”

In addition to its placement on America’s Best Employers by State list, Philips also earned a spot on Forbes’ Best Employers for Women, Forbes’ America’s Best Employers for Diversity and Forbes’ Global 2000 lists earlier this year.
