Cybersecurity Company Expel Joins the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association

HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Expel*, the Security Operations Center (SOC)-as-a-service provider that’s committed to making security as accessible as the internet, announced today that the company is now a member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA). The Association is an ecosystem of independent software vendors -- including managed security service providers (MSSPs) -- that have integrated their solutions into Microsoft’s security product ecosystem to help joint customers better defend themselves against a world of increasing cyber threats.

As part of MISA, Expel customers who use Microsoft security products will enjoy easier integrations between Expel’s services and the Microsoft products they’ve already invested in. Expel will also gain early access to new Microsoft features and products so that the company can support those features and products for mutual customers as soon as possible.

“Our goal at Expel is to make it as easy as possible for our customers to integrate the tech they already use with Expel Workbench,” said Justin Bajko, vice president of business development and partnerships at Expel. “Many of our customers use Microsoft products, ranging from Microsoft Azure to Microsoft 365 to Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection, making this collaboration with Microsoft a natural fit that will benefit joint customers.”

“I am pleased to welcome Expel to the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA). By including our strategic Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs) in MISA, we hope to further enable collaboration between leading security technology companies, so together we can better secure and protect our joint customers,” said Mandana Javaheri, global director, Cybersecurity Solutions Group at Microsoft Corp. “MISA members are the cybersecurity industry leaders, unified by the common goal of helping secure our customers by offering their own valuable expertise and making the association more effective as it expands.”

Expel's “BYO tech” SOC-as-a-service approach gives customers 24x7 managed detection and response (MDR) for cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. Customers get more value out of the security tools they already own because Expel has 40+ native integrations with the most commonly used endpoint, network, SIEM tools, cloud services and SaaS applications. Expel connects to customer tech through APIs, not agents. This means customers can install and activate the service remotely in a matter of hours so internal teams can focus on the initiatives most important to their business.
