Sapphire Digital Partners with Vim for Integrated Online Appointment Scheduling and Provider Engagement

Helping connect patients with high-value providers

LYNDHURST, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sapphire Digital, a leader in empowering consumers to make better choices that deliver health care savings, today announced a partnership with Vim, a leader in digital scheduling and EHR integrated provider referral guidance software. Together, the companies will provide an integrated end-to-end solution that allows consumers to shop for and schedule provider appointments online and allow providers to view member incentives in the EHR.

Today, more than ever, consumers need digital tools and support to navigate the health care system to find and access the best care, at the best price. The integration of Vim’s digital scheduling capability into Sapphire Digital’s leading CareSelect enterprise-wide consumer transparency platform allows health plans to extend their online consumer experience. Future capabilities being planned include enabling integration of Sapphire Digital’s SmartShopper program with health care provider EHR systems and referral workflows. Through these integrations, health plans can drive increased patient volume to high-value providers, improve the member experience, and reduce the total cost of care.

“Sapphire Digital is committed to using our technology to enable consumers to become more active participants in their health care and efficiently find the best care for themselves and their families,” said Kyle Raffaniello, Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Digital. “Partnering with Vim enables us to provide an end-to-end, integrated solution to make it easier for consumers to navigate the system, take action and receive high-value care.”

The CareSelect enterprise-wide consumer transparency platform integrates with best-of-breed solutions including telehealth and consumer funding accounts, such as HSAs or FSAs. The integration of Vim’s software further expands the reach of the Sapphire Digital platform into online scheduling and downstream referrals, where 80% of health care related costs occur. With these new capabilities, authenticated CareSelect consumers can immediately schedule appointments and providers can view a member’s eligible SmartShopper incentives within their EHR systems. This simplifies the process, as well as helps guide consumers to the providers that their health plan has designated as high-value providers of care.

“Vim’s technology helps remove the complexity of navigating the health care system for members and providers by enabling integrated scheduling and referral solutions,” said Oron Afek, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Vim. “It’s more important than ever that we use technology to help patients and providers access high-quality care. We’ve already proven we can drive a meaningful impact and we’re excited to work with Sapphire Digital to reach more patients and to drive provider engagement.”
