Phreesia and Brookes Publishing Partner to Expand Delivery of the ASQ-3 Screening Tool and Improve Pediatric Care

BALTIMORE & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brookes Publishing, a leading provider of professional resources and assessments in early childhood, literacy and special education, and Phreesia, the nation’s leading patient intake platform, are pleased to announce a new partnership to deliver the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ®-3), to pediatric patients across Phreesia’s network.

Pediatricians can now use Phreesia to automate the administration, scoring and storing of the ASQ-3, a widely used developmental screening tool that identifies developmental and social-emotional delays in children between the ages of one month and five-and-a-half years.

“This partnership enables Phreesia to expand our support for both pediatricians and parents,” said Phreesia CEO Chaim Indig. “We’re excited to help providers deliver an essential screening tool digitally and support parents by eliminating the hassle of paperwork.”

Developmental surveillance and screening tools can help identify cognitive and behavioral concerns in children, such as autism, emotional disturbances, and speech and language disorders. They also aid providers in tracking developmental milestones and raising awareness about child development among parents and caregivers.

Physicians can leverage Phreesia’s Mobile platform to automatically deliver the ASQ-3 based on a child’s age and appointment type. Parents receive a text or email message prompting them to complete their child’s intake interview and the ASQ-3 screening prior to the visit, and Phreesia will automatically score, calculate and export the results directly to the electronic medical record for physicians and staff to review.

“Brookes is pleased to support pediatricians’ developmental screening efforts by partnering with Phreesia,” said Melissa Behm, Brookes Publishing Executive Vice President. “Phreesia’s digital platform will seamlessly integrate ASQ with medical practices’ records, making it easier for doctors and parents to focus.”
