BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pioneer Consulting, an international telecom engineering firm specializing in undersea fiber optic cables, proudly announces the elevation of two of its key leaders and also welcomes the addition of a new Director of Client Solutions. The moves solidify Pioneer Consulting’s role as the industry’s renowned provider of engineering solutions and strategic intelligence, while enhancing its ability to deliver cost-effective, responsive services to clients.
Mr. Keith Schofield, a leader in Pioneer Consulting for the last 13 years, will adopt the role of Strategic Advisor on July 1. Since joining the firm as its Director of Submarine Networks in 2007, he has overseen some of the industry’s most complex telecom infrastructure projects. Schofield then soon became a Managing Partner in Pioneer Consulting where his role expanded to include a strategic growth program built around a new Custom Consulting portfolio. His new title allows him to trade his project-specific responsibilities for a key role in guiding the firm’s long-term market strategy.
“This is the right move at the right time,” Schofield said. “Pioneer Consulting’s operations are in terrific hands with Mr. Gavin Tully settling in as Managing Partner and Mr. Dave Marie coming aboard this month as Director of Client Solutions. With that kind of talent in place, my own opportunities to make a significant and distinct contribution to Pioneer Consulting lie with helping chart its broader strategy. I relish the opportunity to advance the firm’s prospects in my new role.”
Succeeding Schofield, Tully will join Mr. Howard Kidorf as Pioneer Consulting’s Managing Partner. A 12-year industry veteran, Tully served for three years as Pioneer Consulting’s Director of Submarine Solutions before being named Partner in 2018. His success as Solutions Manager for SubCom’s Oil & Gas division was built on more than four years as a System Engineer with the firm, where he provided engineering design and oversight for critical submarine telecommunications projects and led the division’s Product Development team.
Marie brings a rare combination of engineering expertise and corporate leadership to his new position. After a successful eight-year tenure as Director of Engineering in Gulf Bridge International (GBI), Marie also served as Indian Ocean Xchange’s (IOX) Chief Technology Officer. Planning to be based in Dubai, his vast experience will also strengthen Pioneer Consulting’s already solid footprint in the Middle East where Pioneer Consulting’s permitting division is headquartered.
“Dave brings a portfolio of skills to Pioneer Consulting that clients will appreciate,” said Tully. “We were looking for a rare combination of executive leadership experience and proven engineering skills, and Dave’s background will be a perfect fit for our team. Plus, his geographic location will further augment Pioneer Consulting’s international footprint and commitment to our global industry.”
Tully further commented, “Over the past few years, Pioneer Consulting’s range of expertise has grown immensely, along with its client portfolio. With Keith’s strategic guidance and Dave’s combination of seasoned leadership and technical project management experience, we have the leadership in place to continue providing clients the best, most comprehensive service in the undersea telecom industry.”
