LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the third year in a row, Pepperdine Graziadio Business School’s dean Deryck J. van Rensburg has been recognized as one of Los Angeles’ 500 most influential business leaders by being named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s LA500 list. In addition to dean van Rensburg, Pepperdine University president and chief executive officer Jim Gash and Pepperdine Caruso School of Law alumnus and benefactor Rick Caruso received the prestigious honor of being on the 2020 LA500 list.
“Dean van Rensburg continually seeks out innovative ways to support career development and prepare professionals to live a life of leadership and make meaningful impacts on their organizations and communities,” said Sinan Kanatsiz, CEO of KCOMM and Pepperdine Graziadio board member. “His leadership is especially important during these turbulent times, and I’m proud that dean van Rensburg is recognized as a changemaker in the region.”
Deryck J. van Rensburg joined the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School in 2016, becoming the school’s ninth dean. He has global business experience working with the Coca-Cola Company and Unilever PLC and holds a DBA from the University of Manchester, an MBA with distinction from the University of Bath, and a bachelor of commerce from Rhodes University. Under the dean’s leadership, Pepperdine Graziadio has several highly ranked graduate business programs that immerse students in experience-driven learning and forward-thinking curricula.
