McAfee Featured on the 2020 CRN® Mobile 100 List

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McAfee, the device-to-cloud cybersecurity company, announced today that it has been recognized by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, on its 2020 Mobile 100 list in the Security and Device Management category. The CRN® Mobile 100 list is the go-to resource for solution providers looking for best products and services available to manage and protect the highly mobile landscape of today’s business world.

McAfee MVISION Mobile was featured on the annual list alongside offerings from the top technology vendors that supply innovative mobile services and solutions to the market. A panel of CRN® editors carefully selected the products for this list with a focus on four categories: Mobile Hardware, Mobile Security and Device Management, Mobile Software and Services, and Mobile Development Platforms.

“The vendors featured on CRN’s 2020 Mobile 100 list support companies with the mobility services and protection they need to compete in today’s market,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “On behalf of our entire team, I want to congratulate these elite companies for their commitment to bringing innovative and secure products to their customers.”

Right now with the increase of work from home activities on unsecured WiFi networks, Man in the middle attacks are a lot more common. MiTM attacks, which are a form of session hijacking are not new. However, what might not be known is that mobile devices have become increasingly vulnerable to MiTM attacks. Additionally, mobile devices are more vulnerable to phishing attacks compared to traditional endpoints when you consider the wide array of communication avenues available like messaging apps, games, social media, and personal email accounts. According to the Verizon Mobile Security Index 2019 report, 81% of those interviewed admitted to using public Wi-Fi for work tasks while 85% of phishing attacks seen on mobile devices take place outside of email.

McAfee MVISION Mobile provides comprehensive protection, detection and response against these types of attacks as well as OS exploits and malicious app attacks via a light-weight and non-intrusive app. By integrating MVISION Mobile with multiple third-party mobile device management (MDM) platforms, IT administrators are able to automate remediation actions when a threat is detected.

“It’s an honor to be included on the CRN Mobile 100 list,” said Anand Ramanathan vice president of products and marketing, McAfee. “This recognition is a testament to the innovative team behind MVISION Mobile and the work they have done to ensure that our customers have cutting-edge defenses needed to protect a mobile workforce.”
