CURE Media Group Expands Its Strategic Alliance Partnership Program With the Addition of Three New Partners
CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CURE Media Group, which reaches over 1 million patients, survivors and caregivers across an industry-leading multimedia platform devoted solely to cancer updates and research, announces the addition of the CLL Society Inc., the National LGBT Cancer Network and Stupid Cancer to its Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program.
“We are so happy to add these three amazing partners to our strategic alliance partnership program,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™, the parent company of CURE Media Group. “Each of these organizations do amazing work to support various cancer communities and we are proud to be able support their missions.”
Learn more about how these organizations are making a difference throughout the nation and in local communities and how partnering with SAP will expand their reach:
The CLL Society is dedicated to meeting the needs of communities with CLL and other related blood cancers. The nonprofit (501c3) organization is focused on patient education, support and research. It prioritizes explaining the rapidly changing treatment landscape and the importance of clinical trials, as well as building patient networks and conducting research to educate patients and providers.
“When dealing with a rare cancer such as CLL, disease specific experience and expertise offer patients a proven survival advantage. The CLL Society provides services online that help ensure that each patient gets their best care. Our motto is ‘Smart patients get smart care,’” said Brian Koffman MDCM, MS, Ed, executive vice president and chief medical officer of the CLL Society. Visit the CLL Society at www.CLLSociety.org.
The National LGBT Cancer Network strives to improve the lives of LGBT cancer survivors and those at risk. The network aims to educate the LGBT community about increased cancer risks and the importance of screening and early detection, train health care providers to offer culturally competent and safe care, and advocate for LGBT survivors in cancer organizations, media and research.
“We are thrilled that CURE Media Group understands how important it is to reach out to LGBT people with cancer and their caregivers. Our community is disproportionately impacted by cancer but often overlooked in national programs, research and the media,” said Liz Margolies, founder and executive director of the National LGBT Cancer Network.
Stupid Cancer empowers adolescents and young adults who are affected by cancer by building a community and ending isolation. The organization offers a lifeline to the young adult cancer community by connecting them to appropriate resources and understanding peers. Since its founding in 2007, Stupid Cancer has become the leader in the young adult cancer space through innovative and award-winning programs and services.
“With this incredible partnership we can continue share reliable information and resources with the adolescent and young adult community and educate them about appropriate resources and navigate treatment and survivorship with dignity on their terms. We are thrilled to be working with CURE Media group,” said Alison Silberman, chief executive officer of Stupid Cancer, Inc.
The SAP program builds a community of advocacy groups, medical associations and medical institutions to foster collaboration and an open exchange of information among trusted peers, for the ultimate benefit of patients and their families. As part of this joint effort, CURE Media Group will work with the partners to share information and support the different cancer communities they support.
