Elevate Security Named a Leader With the Top Score in the Current Offering Category by Independent Research Firm

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elevate Security, a platform that measures, influences, and reduces human cybersecurity risk, today announced it has been named a Leader with the top score in the Current Offering category in The Forrester Wave™: Security, Awareness and Training, Q1 2020. The report provides a detailed overview of the enterprise security, awareness, and training market and evaluates vendors based on their current offering, strategy, and market presence. Within the Current Offering category, Elevate Security received the highest score possible of 5.0 (0 to 5 scale) out of ten criteria.

The Forrester Wave™ report evaluated the 12 most significant security, awareness and training solutions based on 23 criteria and shows how each provider measures up and helps security professionals select the right provider based on their organizations’ needs. Forrester also considered factors like behavior and culture change and positive content as key differentiators in their analysis citing, “As traditional training becomes less effective by alienating users and as personal cybersafety becomes critical, S&R pros seek solutions that focus on behavior and culture change, global support and localization, and positive, hopeful content.”

“We are humbled by the placement in the Forrester Wave,” commented Robert Fly, CEO of Elevate Security. “We created our company three years ago with one mission - give CISOs a unique set of tools to help them measure risk and influence change within their organizations, without using scare tactics. It’s amazing to have recognition from Forrester that this is something the market wants at this time.”

The Forrester Wave™ analysis reports that: “Elevate Security is disrupting the SA&T market with a new training approach. Offering customers a departure from ancient cybersecurity employee training rhetoric, Elevate uses behavioral science, specifically the concept of social proof, to influence behavioral change. The platform provides insights to measure and understand risk and “nudges” users to adjust their behavior. To do this, the platform ingests data on security behaviors from various tools and measures changes in behavior after training (e.g., adoption of password managers or VPN connections). The vendor’s nudging concept provides gentle reminders and motivates users by showing them their cybersafety status relative to the community.”

Masha Sedova, Co-Founder and CPO of Elevate Security added, “When we began this process, we were delighted to see that Forrester was moving toward evaluating security providers on more than just traditional training - they are now placing a higher emphasis on the human element and using positivity to change behaviors. This is where we believe we truly are the strongest offering - our platform changes security behaviors and improves culture using the enterprises’ biggest asset, humans.”
